When things started to regrow in the spring...we noticed on of our backyard trees didn't come back to life. So since spring Mitch has been talking about when & how he would get rid of the old tree. And then what would he plant in its place. He would ask me, but I am NOT helping cut down a tree, nor do I have an opinion about what replaces it - just something green. I would prefer something not messy. So Saturday night (a couple of weeks ago), our friends Katie & Jason stopped over for a beer. Mitch was talking about the tree again. Jason offered to help cut it down, because he does his. Since it has been in discussion since April, I didn't think this would happen anytime soon...just whenever. Well the next morning bright and early for a Sunday (8ish)...here comes Jason with a chain saw and down came the tree. And within about 30 minutes the tree was down and the branches where in a pile! Wow! Good Work, boys! Now we have a huge pile of twigs to start warm & toasty winter fires all winter. And a pine tree to watch grow in its place. =]!
