Gavin's LAST day of Kindergarten - June 4, 2009

What an amazing year we have had.  Gavin's first year of Kindergarten has been wonderful.  He has grown and learned so much.  Here are some highlights...

• starting ALL day kindergarten.
• riding the bus.  
• learning to read.  Getting the class award for best reader!   
• loosing his first tooth.  (to date, still only lost one)
• learning to tie his shoes.  
• learning to jump rope.

Mommy did not do laundry...so all the happiness was gone, because he had to wear those shorts...

What a difference a day makes...Gavin came home all smiles and was excited to now officially be first grader.  

Singin' in the Rain - May, 2009

I decided to wash may car so the kids could play in the water.  It wasn't warm enough to set up the slip and slide, so I thought this would a perfect way to have some water fun!!  The day started out beautiful and sunny and then turned gray and raining.  The kids didn't care they had the best time.  When they asked Mitch if they could play in the rain he said sure, but when you hear thunder or see lightening, come in the house.  They played out there for a long time.  Then there was a huge thunder crack and they ran inside so fast.  It was fun to watch them.

Georgia's last day of preschool.

Georgia was so excited for the last day of school.  She got all dressed up and was ready to go.  She graduated from the 3 year old program and will be entering the Pre-K program in the fall.

Piano Lessons

Gavin and Georgia started piano lessons in February...here are pictures of the final day and their mini recital...

Grammy and Grampy Visit - April, 2009

In April Grammy and Grampy came from Ohio for a short visit.  The kids just love to see them!  We toured Impromptu Studios, had lunch downtown, went to the zoo, and just hung out.  We loved every minute of having them here.  =]!

Operation Red State Launch - April 15, 2009

Auntie Laura Visits Iowa, April 2009

We have been friends since 8th grade.  I was very excited for Laura's first visit to Iowa.  It was just for 4 days, but we had a fabulous time!  

Easter 2008

Easter always brings lots of kid fun.  Here is what we did....
